Search & Replace for Elementor updates images across your site using their full file paths – available in both the Free and Pro versions.
Step 1: Select the Images Search Method
Open the plugin’s search interface and choose the Images search method to target image file paths directly.
Step 2: Choose the Image to Replace
The plugin uses the familiar WordPress Media Library modal:
- Open the Media Library modal from the plugin interface.
- Browse or search for the image you want to replace.
- Click Select Image.
- The image’s full file path populates the search field automatically.
Step 3: Run the Search
Click Search. The plugin scans your Elementor content for every instance of the specified image path and returns a list of results.
Step 4: Choose the Replacement Image
Repeat the process for the new image: open the Media Library modal again, select the replacement, and click Select Image to populate its file path into the replacement field.
Step 5: Replace the Image
Click Replace. The plugin updates every instance of the original image path with the new one across your Elementor content.
Why Use Full Paths?
A full file path targets the exact image in your Media Library, reducing the chance of accidental replacements – especially useful on larger sites with multiple similarly-named images.
